LaBamba SE has returned home to Alberta! We are forever thankful for the wonderful work done by Jessica Dalton and are so excited for his continued success and promotion at home. Plans are in the works for returning to the show ring in June, 2019. Being a horse who loves the spotlight, there's no doubt he's missed it! Currently "Ritchie" is schooling all the PSG/Intermediare movements like a pro.
Welcome home LaBamba SE!
Affectionately known as Ritchie, LaBamba SE was foaled in Alberta June of 2010 out of a Canadian Warmblood mare, Fronta De Line, by Westfalen stallion Frontenac.
Amanda purchased Fronta De Line and then went in search for her ideal stallion. When she discovered Lacado, the match was made! Lacado (Lacapo x Cor de la Bryere) is a grand prix dressage, branded, Holsteiner stallion trained at Isabell Werth's barn and imported to the US.
LaBamba SE is well known for his wonderful disposition and fantastic hind quarter and canter work which he consistently produces in his offspring. A delight to have in the barn and at the show, he's relaxed and focused and easy to handle.
Recently the RPSI announced their partnership with the Westfalen verband and adopting their name. Although LaBamba SE is a branded Zweibrucker, his offspring will now be registered and branded Westfalen.
We are delighted with the consistency of the foal crops LaBamba SE has produced. They all demonstrate clear, correct conformation early on and strong, rhythmic canters. Most will not trot until they are more than a month old.
The first colts were born in 2014 and are starting their under-saddle careers. They are proving to be simple to start, eager to work, pleasing and sensible. Add to that their natural movement and breeding to LaBamba SE is an obvious choice!
For 2019/20, breeding via AI (frozen) is available. Stud fee is $1250 CAD to approved mares.
