LaBamba SE and rider/trainer Jessica Dalton's first gold show at Third Level at Thunderbird Show Park, June 2017. They achieved Open Third Level Reserve Champion at this show, missing champion by only 0.2%! They have been training together for only a few short months but we are all thrilled at their rapid progress and success. FEI is right around the corner!
Affectionately known as Ritchie, LaBamba SE was foaled in Alberta June of 2010 out of a Canadian Warmblood mare, Fronta De Line, by Westfalen stallion Frontenac.
Amanda purchased Fronta De Line and then went in search for her ideal stallion. When she discovered Lacado, the match was made! Lacado (Lacapo x Cor de la Bryere) is a grand prix dressage branded Holsteiner stallion trained at Isabell Werth's barn and imported to the US.
Recently the RPSI announced their partnership with the Westfalen verband and adopting their name. Although LaBamba SE is a branded Zweibrucker, his offspring will now be registered and branded Westfalen.
We are delighted with the consistency of the foal crops we have gotten from LaBamba SE. They all demonstrate clear, correct conformation early on and strong, rhythmic canters. Most will not trot until they are more than a month old.
The first colts were born in 2014 and are starting their under-saddle careers. They are proving to be simple to start, eager to work and please and sensible. Add to that their natural movement and breeding to LaBamba SE is an obvious choice!
For 2017, breeding via AI (fresh cooled) is available. Stud fee is $1250 CAD to approved mares. Please contact us for more information.
